Our Post Injection moulding services
At Plymplastics, we pride ourselves on the vast array of post moulding operations and assembly available to our customers. Once a moulding is produced, it can be put through several additional processes. After or during the production of your components, we can carry out assembly work, this includes screwing and clipping your components together, as well as ultra-sonically welding your parts for a water/airtight seal if required. Post plastic moulding operations are essential finishing touches that add value, brand recognition and functionality to your mouldings. Plymplastics offers a full turnkey service for all of your post moulding requirements. By providing our customers with these additional moulding operations, we can help to streamline your manufacturing process and reduce costs. We can also accurately put labels on the components.
In-House Post Moulding Operations
Plymplastics is equipped to provide you with the best post moulding (sometimes known as secondary ops) to help you reduce costs. Based on your application’s requirements, design and in-house manufacturing process, we can offer a wide range of threaded inserts for plastics for both mould-in and post mould installation. Brass inserts, such as heat-staked or press-in inserts provide strong wear-resisting threads for all thermoplastics. If you require threaded inserts, we can press these in while the components are still warm for an interference fit. We can carry out a number of drilling procedures for some products/components with lower volumes, which allows them to keep the cost of the mould tooling down.
Our Turnkey Solutions
As part of Plymplastics’ commitment to adding value to your product development lifecycle, we also offer a turnkey production service. As well as injection moulding, we have invested in both manpower and technical capabilities to support second operations and post-processing. To keep production costs down, we provide a range of services that fit with your supply-chain requirements. Our second operations handle the final touches to your product and are managed by experienced and skilled employees. When your components are completed, we can hold agreed stock with our Kanban system, this allows you to call off components and receive them within 24-48 hours. In essence, we can manufacture your components and assemble, drill, insert, weld, print, package and store them for you, you won’t even need to touch them.
